Diabetes y su presupuesto en el Perú
La diabetes Mellitus es un conjunto de síndromes caracterizados por hiperglicemia crónica , es decir glucosa
alta en la sangre .
Puede ser de 4 tipos :
- Tipo 1 (DM1) : que ocurre en niños y jóvenes por falta absoluta de insulina.
- Tipo 2 (DM2) : que ocurre mayormente en adultos , aunque también en niños , por alteraciones en la acción (Resistencia a la insulina ) y en la producción de la insulina
- Gestacional : ocurre en el embarazo y se resuelve luego del parto , sin embargo conlleva a un riesgo mayor de DM2.
- Otros tipos de diabetes: por factores genéticos u otras enfermedades
El presupuesto nacional de salud para el tratamiento y control de personas con diabetes es de 19 millones de soles , hasta el cierre del mes de abril, se ha ejecutado ya el 40 % de este presupuesto . El presupuesto designado a la compra de medicamentos asciende a los 2 millones de soles y su ejecución hasta el mes de abril es del 11 % .
